The channel is home to more than 5 million users and more than 1 billion lifetime viewers as of July 2022. Paytas has co-hosted Frenemies alongside her fellow YouTuber Ethan Klein. A singer by herself, Paytas made singles available and released several albums. She also appeared in television and film shows. Paytas was born in Riverside on May 8, 1988. She then relocated to Illinois. There are two of her siblings; one older brother, and the other, half-sister from her maternal side. Paytas was just 15 when she relocated from Illinois to California. There she was enrolled in a Catholic online school. She moved back to Illinois with her mother when she was 16 and lived together. She went to the high school of Pecatonica in Illinois.
