Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. The majority of her childhood was spent living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle-class family. Her mom was a film buff and encouraged a love of films in the young girl as well. Paula enjoyed participating in school co-curriculars and drama was her favorite. Paula was a fantastic actress and enjoyed performing with her friends. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School staged a variety of plays, and the actress decided acting was her preferred career. She enrolled at the University of Southern California in the summer program, and was awed by her experience. She won a three-month assignment producing documentaries on behalf of PBS. She started as production assistant for television documentaries after successfully completing her assignment. She then moved to produce documentaries. However, she had always wanted to work as an actress although she was content with her current work. in the film romantic comedy Hitch she played a small part alongside Will Smith. Since then, she has appeared in a number of famous television and film productions.
