Despacito was released by Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi in 2017 and became the number one streamed track in just 6 months. It was a blend of reggaeton and pop music that not only drew attention to Latin Music, but also reggaeton. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two tracks that were mostly in the Spanish languages, while the year 2016 saw four. At the height of popularity for Despacito, 19 tracks mainly in Spanish made it to the Billboard Top 100. By 2020 there will be 41 hits in this category. Justin Bieber's bilingual version of Despacito came out in the year 2017. After that, some of the most pop stars began to collaborate with reggaeton singers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) in addition to Madonna collaborated with Maluma in the creation of Medellin. Certain reggaeton performers have criticized the shift to popular music by 2020. However, a brand new group, Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the development and growth of reggaeton.
