Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who managed to move between the genres of country and mainstream culture, and has become an idol of the world of pop. She also conquered every continent through her music. Swift shed the country influences as if they were an additional layer of skin and revealed she was among the best singers/songwriters of the generation she was born into. Swift could make the occasion personal, or use it for her benefit. The skills she displayed were apparent in some of her first tracks, including the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her sophomore album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift was able to discover who she is and find an audience that was large. Fearless became a worldwide hit but not only in North America (where it received as platinum six times for Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia as well as the U.K. and other countries. Swift managed to build upon her popularity through Speak Now almost two year later. Swift's popularity grew through the three albums that followed - Red (2012) 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift had now established herself in the genre she was a part of. Her popularity grew even after she changed her strategy with 2020's pared-down siblings the folk singer (and Evermore) and stayed at the top of the charts.
